While all of these writers are Canadian, they have successfully taken us far away with their adventures in crime. Caterina performs a skilled dance by setting her novel ‘The Sicilian Wife’ in both Sicily and Edmonton. Our senses are assailed by CC Humphreys’ depiction of 17th century London in his Arthur Ellis Award winning ‘Plague’ and Ian Hamilton’s Ava Lee series takes us to many exotic Asian locales.
